Manchester United’s legendary former coach, Sir Alex Ferguson, 76, was rushed to the hospital for surgery that had occurred due to blood flow to the brain, according to the British Mirror.
The Ferguson family had to call for ambulance, and he was transported in a car, accompanied by police, to Macclesfield Hospital.
Manchester United, meanwhile, spoke in a statement stating that the Scottish expert was operative and that the procedure went well.
However, he needs a period of intense care in order to recover fully, and his family asks for privacy.
Recall that Ferguson retired from the position of manager of United in 2013, and last time he was on Old Trafford last Sunday when Arsenal Wenger was handed a match trophy at the departure of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
