Captain of Real Madrid Sergio Ramos said in a statement to the German media that Andres Iniesta would win two Golden balls to be called Andresinho.
Iniesta has recently announced that he will leave Barcelona at the end of the season, and is still not sure where to continue his career. After announcing the decision to leave, many football figures in the world raised the question why the Spaniard never won the Golden Ball.
Among other things, Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos also got the question, who, despite the great rivalry between Barcelona and the Royal Club, said Iniesta should refuse two Golden balls.
“If Iniesta was called Andresinho, I’m sure to win at least two Golden Balls,” said Sergio Ramos, alluding to players from South America who have such nicknames.
Iniesta was the closest to winning the Golden Ball in 2010, but then the epitome of the best player of the world was taken by his clubmate Lionel Messi.
