Italian striker Mario Balotelli (27) this summer could play as a free player in Rome, writes Italian Il Tempo, and the news is being broadcast by many other Italian media.
Balotelli is currently playing for Nice and in 32 appearances in all competitions this season scored 22 goals. Apparently, his manager Mino Raiola was seen in Rome where he was negotiating with Roma about the arrival of former strikers Manchester City, Milan, Inter and Liverpool.
Il Tempo writes that Raiola arrived in Rome to complete the negotiations on the new Luce Pellegrini contract, but he also talked about the possible arrival of Mario Balotelli whose contract with Nice expires in June.
Balotelli recently said in a big interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport that he would like to cross into Roma. True, Roma is not the only team that Balotelli, speaking about his future destination, said in an interview.
“I would switch to Roma because of the club, the players and the fans. I do not think anyone would complain if I go to Roma,” Balotelli said.
In the event that he ended up in Roma, Balotelli would play again with Edin Džeko and Alexander Kolarov after they were with Manchester City.
