Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri said in a statement to the Italian media that his team must play every game at a top level, and added that his contract created a fake problem.
Sarri says Napoli has a road to follow and that the current situation in Naples is under control.
“Everything is under control, we are doing a good job, and we, fans and media, are accustomed to unusual achievements. We must not be prisoners of anything, we have a way to follow. We are not a team that can win without playing well,” said is Sarri, and then he turned to his contract.
“My contract? There is a fake problem. There is an agreement, we just have to comply with all the conditions,” said Napoli coach.
Napoli is currently in second place of the Serie A, two points less than Juventus, and it is certain that the Old Lady will lead a fierce battle for Scudetto by the end of the championship.
In the past season, Napoli finished second, and as much as they want this year’s title, the best is the fact that they dropped out of the Italian and European leagues in January and February.
